An Oak Tree with a "Split Personality" Damages Two Houses~FromKen Jones

Murphys, CA..."In the wee hours of the morning I happened to be awake and working at my computer when I heard a loud noise outside my door. I went to see what happened. Upon opening the door I paused to try to see what might have caused the noise but the dim porch light revealed nothing until... the big oak tree outside my door about ten feet away, started falling towards me!...

There was a series of loud cracks as the trunk slowly fell towards my face, as if in slow motion. I was prepared to sidestep the trunk at the last moment, but worried more about my house. I prayed it would miss the house. It did, by only inches, but big branches from the tree crashed through the my roof! Standing there in disbelief, I then saw that the big old oak tree had split in half sending another trunk into the opposite direction crashing into my neighbor's house! That damn tree fell in opposite directions at the same time, damaging two houses! And I got to see it at 4:30 in the morning! Now what are to odds of that happening? Non-existent I tell you. I am never awake at 4:30 in the morning."
