This Month In Jenny's Kids...Let the Kids Make The "Ranch Dip" for Super Bowl Sunday!

Angels Camp, CA...We had the pleasure of dining with one of our favorite local Chef's, Jenny Baxter, for our monthly dinner. This month she and the Hamilton boys prepared "Ranch Dip" from scratch. Our family always enjoy our time with Jenny as she is the hostess with the mostess...and a great friend also! She is quite friendly, very humorous and really knows how to put on a spread! For dinner she served us...

The Hamilton Boy's with Jenny Baxter

Burgundy Beef, Brown Rice, Warm Bread, Steamed Broccoli and of course the ranch dip that her and the boys made.

The boys are always sooo excited for their monthly visit with Jenny! She also shows them how to use safety skills in the kitchen and is always very patient and kind to them. No wonder she makes such a wonderful teacher!

This year how about let the kids make the ranch dip for your Super Bowl Sunday!

Here are the recipes:

Homemade Ranch Dip
Cup mayonaiise and sour cream
Tablespoon dill
teaspoon powdered garlic and parsley salt and pepper to taste
Combine all the ingredients and dip in!!

Burgundy Beef

3 lb chuck roast cut into cubes
4 T olive oil divided ( 2 at a time)
1/3 cup flouSliced onion
3 toes chopped garlic
2 cups beef broth
Bottle red wine
Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat and add the onion, mushrooms and garlic and saute. Remove from the pan. Add the remaining oil flouring the meat and brown in the heated oil. Brown the meat in batches so all the pieces are not crowded. Add the vegetable mixture. Add 2 cups beef broth and 1/2 the bottle of wine. Cook the beef over medium low heat add the wine as needed to keep the beef in a gravy sauce. Cook for about 2- 2 1/2 hours. Serves 6.

Enjoy!
