Jared Salisbury, 41 of Idaho Falls, ID Lost His Life Yesterday In Hwy 49 Motorcycle Collision

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Jared Salisbury, 41 of Idaho Falls, ID was riding his motorcycle with three other motorcycles southbound on State Route 49, south of the Mokelumne River. An Auburn man was traveling northbound on State Route 49, approaching Salisbury. Mr. Salisbury had just passed a southbound vehicle when he lost control of his 2010 Ducati Street Fighter. The Ducati fell to its side and he was ejected onto the roadway. Salisbury and the Ducati slid into the northbound traffic lane and collided with the front of an approaching Dodge Ram. Mr. Salisbury was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Alcohol and/or drugs did not appear to be a factor in this collision.
This collision is still under investigation.

Nowhere safely not even on a crotch rocket. 13 turns normally takes flesh off the harley riders. Man needs to know his limitations, he ran out of talent.

Takes "talent" to write such post!!! Yes, a Ducati or fast street bike can pass in that lower part starting up 13 turns. Evil, sadistic, morbid are who you are. Look in a mirror and perhaps find a human being. Pitiful indeed.👹

Not legally. Insufficient sight distance and you can not pass unless you have a clear lane ahead, which you cannot determine on 13 curves. I believe that entire section in a double yellow centerline, which means, Do Not Pass.

Anywhere around 49 and 26, lookout. Takes about two seconds to pass most of the cars in that area. I'm sure it's not medicinal nor a birth defect!! Just be safe and get the hell away from them. Better in front so one doesn't have to witness the consiquence of their actions. Either selling in valley springs or Jackson. Known fact.

Freedom of the open road, but I feel for the guy in the truck.
Just minding his own business and here comes a bike racing head on towards you and a guy with eyes wide open about to become windshield bug juice.
Sorry that sounds kinda mean or gross, but those guys live by the seat of their pants for excitement, well.... he got it, a quick adrenaline rush.
