Calaveras Humane Society Thrift Store Is Now Hiring

Arnold, CA...The Calaveras Humane Society Thrift Store in Arnold is now hiring for Friday Saturday and Sunday P/T work in our clothing dept. We are a very fast paced retail store. The job requires good people skills, valid California Dr license, friendly and out going with customers.Multi tasking is desired. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

What We Sell

The Calaveras Humane Society Thrift Store in Arnold carrives a variety of high-end used goods. Shoppers will find high-quality, like-new and gently used clothing and accessories, household items and furnishings, vintage items and collectibles, jewelry, books, toys, branded CHS goods, and lots more! The merchandise changes frequently, so come in often and see what we have! You’re sure to find some treasures.

(5% discount to shoppers 55 years & older)

The Arnold Thrift Store also features a Cat Adoption Center, which is open Friday–Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and Sundays from 11am to 3pm. Visitors can peruse cute and cuddly cats and kittens while they shop.

Our Arnold Thrift Store has received two Calaveras Enterprise “Reader’s Choice” awards. The store was voted Best Thrift Store and Best Children’s Apparel in Calaveras County. Congratulations to the store’s staff and volunteers. And tremendous thanks to the store’s loyal customers and generous donors for their part in earning these coveted awards.

Store Donations
Doing a little cleaning and decluttering? Looking to downsize? Moving? Your generous donations support the needs of Calaveras County’s homeless animal population. That’s what it’s all about – the animals! The stores accept like-new and gently used items of all sorts: clothing, housewares, collectibles, vintage items, books, jewelry, toys, furniture, media, and much more! Your donations are appreciated!

Large and small donations are accepted up until 3pm on business days. You can even arrange to have large items picked up! If you have a large amount to donate or large items, or if you have any questions, please call the store you are interested in donating to. We will be happy to hear from you!
