Seaton Campaign Kicks off Saturday...Fourth District Race to Feature Grass Roots Campaign~From Donna Schantz
Angels Camp, CA ~ Citizens for Seaton, a grass-roots based organization formed to help elect Lee Seaton Supervisor in Calaveras County’s Fourth district, announced today that his campaign will kick off at a reception at the Native Sons Hall in Murphys Saturday, January 26, 2008, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served....
Seaton says that “I’m running for Supervisor because changing times require a change in leadership.”
Seaton says that his chief concerns are planning to preserve Calaveras County’s rural quality of life, growing the County’s economy while enhancing the environment, working cooperatively to fund the County’s deteriorating infrastructure, preserving the County’s “priceless” heritage, and re-energizing County government while setting higher standards.
Seaton and his wife, Marilyn, moved to Calaveras County in 1999 from the Bay area after a career as a teacher and business executive with the Hewlett Packard Corporation.
Seaton currently sits on the Angels Camp City Council, serves as the Chair of the Calaveras Council of Governments (CCOG), is a past Chair of the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO), and is past Chair of the Central Sierra Resource Conservation and Development Council (CSRCD).
Seaton holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Hawaii.
