Almost 1000 Butane Containers Recovered In More Illegal Dumping Near Calaveras High School

San Andreas, CA...On 4-5-17 Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a tip connecting the remnants of a BHO lab discovered last week at Calaveras High School, to an additional dump site at 238 East Saint Charles Street.
Deputies responded to this location and discovered a significant dump site. Deputies along with members of Code Compliance and Environment Health worked to coordinate the cleanup. A Hazardous waste cleanup company was called to assist and remove the debris.

A total of 9, 55-gallon drums of hazardous waste was removed and nearly 1000 cans of butane were discovered. Deputies and Environmental Health are treating the cleanup efforts involved with BHO labs and lab dumps in the exact manner as if it were a meth lab. This process is expensive and time-consuming. The cleanup at this site took nearly 5 hours.

This is exactly what happens when you invite thugs into our county to grow marijuana! Hello BOS.... do you really think this is the only place these idiots are dumping their toxic waste? NO!!! they are dumping it all over our county! Are you happy now BOS?

Does not seem like we had these issues before the Urgency Ordinance, thanks again Ponte, your legacy will live on in this county along with your other cohorts....

Funny. .. the county thought they could get rich off collecting drug money, but now they've created such a huge problem that they are stumped. Even if the bos ban these growers.... how are they going to get rid of them and their hazardous mess?

You made the best point of all after reading the comments. BoS can ban but wont get rid of growers because many have purchased land after the fire and will continue to grow. This is just a suggestion after reading all the news over the last few months:
      Rural residential= No grows permitted
If you dont like it= tough. Re Zone your property or move
      Indoor only in Industrial zones
zero generators and zero lights permitted at night where it may cause issue for your neighbors
Aggressive or inconsiderate growers have caused all these problems. Cut it all down after they spend the summer working

Ponte really failed to deliver on much of anything besides showing her Liberal tendencies. Big disappointment there.

The U Ord was in response to the influx of land purchases made after the fire. You should read a bit of the older news if you know how to read that is

Yeh right, thats why the permits are all being denied, they were not there before the Urgency Ordinance, proven by satellite imagery. Personally have three grows appear around my property that were not there, my family's ranch ended up with 8 grows around them that were not there. The board of Supervisors, including the piece of crap Ponte are directly responsible for this mess.

Our county this summer will be overrun. If the sheriff has a set of balls, he will demand the BOS give him the tools to fight the invasion. If he doesn't he will fall right in line with Mills, Clapp, and Tofanelli and go along with a ban. The worst possible thing that could happen to Calaveras County.

No, the worst that could happen already happened. BOS failed by not enacting a ban. I hope you choke on your weed.

A bunch of cops picked up 1,000 empty butane cans.
This is nothing like the clean up of a meth lab.
