A Few Candid Shots From Irish Day, Our “Sky” Cam Footage & Pipers Piping

Murphys, CA…After the parade crowd thinned out a bit we broke out our very high tech, and many would say drone like persona of a middle aged man with a camera on a stick. Our “drone” walked the entire Main Street to get you a 6-8ft high view of the festivities. No quadcopter here just an aching hip and a need of a snack when the “drone” made it to the other end of Main Street. Along the way we stopped a few times to get a few candid shots of the day and of course pipers, piping.

The only thing that bothered me was when trying to push my Disabled Son in his Wheel Chair some Fat Arsed Woman not paying attention backed up and almost sat on him in his Chair. The Wife was not pleased at all. Then Mrs Fat Arsed got all indignant like how dare my Wife and Son be there. The Wife said that we will probably not attend another Irish Day in Murphys.

Onward to the Frog Jump another great weekend to leave the Motherlode for other Event Venues.

As a resident, I am sorry for the mishap. This was the biggest crowd I can remember. Just driving through Murphys was dangerous especially having people dodge across the street. Parents with little ones. Next year I hope they have officers working the street (hwy 4).

Sorry to hear that, alcohol makes some people incredibly rude. Thank goodness she didn't flatten your son, I guess from his eye view, he may of been terrified enough, which so happens reminds me of my favorite actor's first break in to a Hollywood film, Steve McQueen, starring in THE BLOB.

Yes, another alcohol driven event. I'm sure many kids were very impressed with the drinking, I hope they picked up some tips on how to act accordingly. Survey says, alcohol leads to illegal drug use, 95% of illegal drug users drank alcohol as minors. But in this time and age, who doesn't need something to take our mind off of these trying times. Just stay away from driving so more people are not seriously hurt or killed by your actions of escaping reality. Looking from behind bars might make you wish you never drank.

By the way another person was killed on hwy 49, driver was drunk, unknown as of this time of the relationship of the driver and woman until next of kin is notified.

What a complete waste of a horse*bleep*. Murphys was a better place. The whole area was. Any true local wouldn't be in the area. Just the greedy folks- drunk -stoned-full of a bunch of horse*bleep*. Which is the way of the area. Wish most you folk would've took over a place like moke hill. R West Point out in the brush which you can wipe your ass with that money off a shirt tail money your grand- daddy earn the hard way you have never earned. Grow up.

So, you do not like pot and or tourism. Those are the top two industries in Calaveras County. In what other way would you like the county to generate revenue? Should we increase property taxes? Increase building fees? Or, would you just prefer to keep Calaveras in poverty?

Weekends and events like this enable you to have restaurants, entertainment, snow skiing & more. Yes, you may be inconvenienced a few times a year but they allow you to have a nice dinner when they are not here.

You can live in a big box, cookie cutter town or neighborhood, or you can welcome the "flatlanders" on the weekends. I say Thank You flatlanders & hope you had a good time!!!

Used to be the queen of sierra. Now the place is beyond words. What a complete yup-dope-waste of liberal wasteland. 5 th generation folks don't want to waste a penny on this place. Only the money greedy folks will react to this post. Claim a local. Most of the true colors shown. Good luck.

Fine, it allows you to have restaurants that local families cannot afford to eat at and businesses that sell things we don't need and can't afford.to

You need to drink some liquor, it seems after I get plowed they're cuter, and yes, it works both ways. In fact I've learned I am a much better dancer and singer when I'm drunk, loud, and have slobber running out my mouth. When I drink, I become a winner and I drive these roads like I'm a NASCAR veteran, usually with one eye closed

Whoever plans these events is a total idiot. There is just too many people for events like this. The crowd needs to be limited for safety and parking. How comfortable is it when you are packed in like sardines and can't move around freely not to mention if there was some type of medical emergency and no access from all of the fat ass people drinking and stuffing their faces with expensive crappy food.
