President Trump's Weekly Address On Andrew Jackson & Job Creation
Washington, DC...My fellow Americans, This week, I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to lay a wreath at the grave of Andrew Jackson, on the 250th anniversary of his birth. Jackson was an American hero. First, as the brilliant general whose crushing defeat of the British at New Orleans saved our independence in the War of 1812. And later, as the seventh President of the United States — when he fought to defend the forgotten men and women from the arrogant elite of his day. Does it sound familiar? The memory of his leadership lives on in our people, and his spirit points us to a better future.
This week, I also traveled to the Willow Run plant in Michigan. At that facility during the Second World War, the Ford Motor Company built not cars, but entire airplanes. At one point, workers there produced a complete B-24 Liberator every single hour — hard to believe.
Today on that site is a new facility, where the cutting edge cars of the future will be tested. And this week, the old plant was filled once again with thousands of workers and engineers. I was there to share the good news for the American auto industry.
We announced we’ll be reversing an 11th hour executive action from the previous Administration that was threatening thousands of auto jobs in Michigan and across America. And I mean threatening — it was very, very sad to see.
In fact, we are setting up a task force in every federal agency to identify any unnecessary regulation that is hurting American businesses and American jobs.
The first two job reports of my administration show that we’ve already added nearly half a million new jobs.
The days of economic surrender for the United States are over. For too long, special interests have made money shipping jobs overseas. We need a new economic model – let’s call it the American Model. Under this model, we will lower the burden on American Business but, in exchange, they must hire and grow America and American jobs. This will be a win-win for our companies and for our workers.
Let’s buy American and hire American. Let’s create jobs in America. Let’s imagine new industries. And let’s build a beautiful future together.
Among the workers building B-24 bombers at the Willow Run plant during World War II was one tough lady. You might have heard of her: they called her Rosie the Riveter. And when Rosie’s country called her, she answered the call.
Rosie was famous for her toughness and her strength — and for the words that were emblazoned above her famous image. It said very simply: “We can do it.”
If Americans unite, and find again within our nation the soul of Rosie and the spirit of Jackson—I have no doubt that we can do it, and do it like never before.

Yes on B. BAN
Because there is more to life than getting high
Why should we have to worry about dealing sleezebags pulling up to the wrong house late at night.
Why should our kids have an easier step down the wrong path
Why should we let our community change for the worse
Keep their money.... They had a year to grow.
If they couldnt make 1200 to 2500 per plant this past year its their own poor cultivating, dealing or getting high on their own supply problem and a pox on them alltogether
How come no room to reply on Murphy's Irish Days? Here' why. Because people would make comments relating to all of the flatlanders that come up here and absolutely f things up for locals. All so Murphys can make money. That town is garbage, it is a whore. Ban Irish Days!!!!!!!
Look around. Murphys is the only community in the entire county that is succeeding. Organizers recognize that inviting visitors a half dozen times a year to special events helps local business and therefore the community flourish. Store fronts don't stay vacant long because it's no secret the Murphys brand is thriving. Thank you, MBA, for your vision and the countless, committed volunteers that make our community both a wonderful place to live AND visit!
There's more to life then getting HIGH? WHERE YOU AT THE MURPHYS SAINT PATRICK DAY PARADE? ALL THOSE PEOPLE WERE DRUNK, AND KIDS WERE WATCHING AND LEARNING.
Sorry for yelling. All of those celebrating? All of those cars parked on the hwy? They drove away after drinking beer, wine and having a grand old drunken time in Murphys. So don't go preaching your high morals about banning one thing and go doing something else. At least with LEGAL marijuana it's profits seem to go a little further then the Business Association of Murphys, while putting everyone who's walking or driving at risk of drunk drivers, or someone dying by the hands of a drunk.
I'd rather be around someone who's under the influence of marijuana then some loud, arrogant drunk. Think about that one "preacher" man.

Studies are showing that driving after smoking pot is just as inhibiting as driving after drinking alcohol. Neither is a good choice related to safety on the roads.
Soon CHP and Sheriff's will have a test for pot smoking while driving and the people high will be taken away just like those who have been drinking. Just need to firmly confirm how to calibrate the equipment, meaning determine the minimum amount of pot in the system before senses and reactions are impaired.
Hey, I object to Irish Days, it is racist. Comparing us Irish folks to a leprechaun is offensive. We need to change the name, to like, Murphys All Is Welcome Days with a rainbow motif. Lets form a committee and set up a booth in the parking lot of every grocery store here to get it on the ballot for a special election. Outlaw corned beef, it isn't Irish anyway. No more beer allowed. No more parades, it is too hard on the environment. outlaw anything with Saint in the title, need to keep religion out of anything public. Now there, you all thought the only thing we had to discuss was Measure B.
I have given you a subject, now talk amongst yourselves. In fact, go to the Board of Supervisors meeting every week and make comments, maybe get an Irish young person from a neighboring county since we can't seem to do anything here to lead this charge. And, to the above, please add the registering of all private ownership of shillelagh's, we can't have people walking around with those things.

I guess that's why she lost, her honesty just happens to be missing in everything she says, and people knew she was selling out America to the highest contributors to the Clinton foundation. By the way, the foundation closed due to the fact she lost, and foreign donations ceased the day she lost. I wonder why? Look it up, afraid of what you might learn? If that were even possible, or just stick your head back in the sand.
Trump is an arrogant blowhard, but at least he gives a damn about his country and won't sell out America.
Will you guys get off of the first posters comments. Yeah, he's ours and dumb as a fence post, but this article and comment section is about our Commander In Chief, President Trump.
I don't agree with hardly anything of what our President says, EXCEPT strengthening our borders. Look over seas, at our allies in the UK, those who let in the refugees and look how the terrorism has grown there and it's becoming worse and worse. It will come here because they are already recruiting here and it has already started, the latest shooting was in San Bernardino Calif. The only reason I voted for Trump was he wanted to strengthen our borders and keep America safe. Look at our Gov Brown, he wants this beautiful state to become a sanctuary state, giving illegals immigrants every right of a US citizen,. 37% of our federal prisoners are illegal immigrants accused and convicted of at least one felony, that is not a good way of keeping you citizens safe.
Once these terrorist set foot and establish themselves on our soil, you will never get them out
If we had a decent and somewhat honest (Hillary lost right there) democrat who ran for President I would of voted with my party, all they had to do is say and act on defending our borders.
I love my Country and what she stands for, not the politicians who run her.
Times have changed, America is not a loved country, and many out there would love to see her and all of it's people wiped off the face of the earth. So defend her.
Re: Reasons for voting for Trump Posted on: 2017-03-20 09:36:39By: Anonymous
I am saddened to read someone voted for Trump for a single reason -- border protection. There is so much more to this man that is dangerous and to let him get into office on one item was dangerous to democracy and our federalist form of government.
With Bannon as his strategist, the American Heritage group as his model for federal government, etc., we are now in real danger of losing much of what has been gained in the last 100 years.
It doesn't matter what segment of society you look at, except the very very rich. Oh, and the military establishment which is the worst run dept of the govt. We are all, and I mean ALL going to lose big time under this administration.
Hillary was not a good choice either. We didn't have a good choice. Difficult to continue to decide who is the least bad to run the country, but that is the choice we are continually given.
I hope you can live with what you have helped occur. Hopefully in 2018 we can get people like Paul Ryan replaced and get a semblance of 'for the people' back into Congress and thus get some restraints on Trump.
Good luck to all of us for the next 2 years. We've barely made it thru the first 90 days and there are signs of imploding. At least some people who voted for Trump are beginning to state they have doubts now about their choice.

It's refreshing to read a weekly address that doesn't pit the Democrats against the Republicans or the rich against the poor. Trump is preaching to everyone at the same time--quite a change from the last 8 years. The naysayers will always be with us even though their lives haven't changed in even a small way. You haters on the Left need to back off and take a breath.

You do have a point. Problem is we all have to hear their whining for the next 4 long years. It seems crying and whining is the new thing in America, and these cry babies sure are good at it. I wish they'd do something then just sit on their huge butts and complain.
blah blah sob sob blah blah boohoo, that's all you ever hear these days

As you keep on the tRump train to disaster,, cheering him on, ignoring his proposed budget which will hurt us all, remember we warned you.
tRump's approval rating is crashing, especially in his base areas approval - 37%.
People don't want another war, wasting 54$Billion on more bloated military spending.
People want their ACA, SS, Medicare left alone, not cut.
The United States is now a problem to the world, tRump is destroying America's honor.
The only answer is to Dump Trump - Illegitimate president- Resist! Impeach- Convict
Back to Trump Posted on: 2017-03-20 07:47:54By: Anonymous
All the jobs he's taking credit for have been in the works for over two years. Companies don't turn on a dime like that. And you might take note that the stock market Trump Bump has passed. Always happens when a newly elected POTUS makes promises pre-election. Total lack of diplomacy with German chancellor Merkel last week with ignorant jokes that fell flat. Today will be a big week when his words come back as they were recorded in regard to wiretapping. The only question is will his tenure end in impeachment or will the GOP say yes to his face and do what they want to do, publicly opposing his whims. It's going to be interesting.

You Libs just can't handle it , you lost. Are you going to donate your tax savings you will be receiving soon ? And a real Health Care Plan , You're a bunch of whiners . Crooked Hillary lost , get over it !!!!!

The biggest irony is that those who voted for Trump will likely be the biggest losers in health care and cuts to the budget. Tax credits for health care only help those earning significant income. Let's not even get started on cuts to community block funds, Meals on Wheels and more.
One more thing... Posted on: 2017-03-20 12:28:48By: Anonymous
Here's another little tidbit you'll never hear on FOX News. Attorney friend of ours was hired by Trump a couple years back to divorce the now First Lady. After working on it for a significant period of time, the Donald said never mind and refused to pay billable hours thus far. Sound familiar?
