What’s Your Vision for the Future of Greater Arnold? GABA Meeting Monday March 13 at 6:00 PM

Arnold, CA...This is your invitation to participate in something special, where together we make a difference for a more vibrant community, one that retains the greater Arnold area’s personality yet helps make the area more attractive. Join us Monday night, March 13 for GABA’s first town hall meeting of 2017. What kinds of public works projects would you pursue? Reduce the speed limit through town? Rid the highway of dilapidated buildings? Fill empty storefronts with things people want or need while providing more and better jobs?

Or maybe find the funds to finance and maintain safe off-highway pedestrian trails, a park where families can gather, a community center, all while doing so without disturbing what is makes Greater Arnold special?

It may now be possible to pursue projects such as these, or any others that the community chooses, all without relying on Washington, Sacramento or even San Andreas.

We’ll meet from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Ebbetts Pass Fire Station on Blagen Road, in the training room, accessed from the rear parking lot.

That's Charlie Browns best friend, pigpen. I guess without saying an address he knows he's guilty as charged of having an eyesore. What's funny is he's telling you to hose off your head and he's the dirty one.
      GOT DRUGS THERE TOO?

No MX bikes, no plinking .22's without getting arrested, but be drunk in public flinging a Frisbee, no problem.

How about trying to help your community instead of just picking on it?

I am a member of GABA, but I speak here with my opinions, not those of GABA.

It is difficult at best to control the retail vacancies and the dilapidated buildings that face Hwy 4. There are however, some easy things we can do.

Whether full time resident or weekender, we all remember how we were introduced to this great little town, For me it was visiting relatives over Christmas and eventually buying my own house. Many had similar circumstances. Whatever it was, we had a reason to come here. Let's give others a reason as well. If you are part of a group that holds outings, consider holding them in Arnold. Maybe a fishing derby, equestrian event, golf tournament, camping etc.

Local events build store sales, lodging, dining, tax revenues and maybe add a few new neighbors. We don't want to become a metropolis, but your local economy would appreciate a few new faces,

Thanks!

Kirk

Murphys does a great job bringing people to the area with their wine events.

Arnold need to capitalize on its strengths:
    - off-road motor vehicle riding at the Interface Trail system
    - golf
    - hiking Arnold Rim Trail
    - fishing and boating at White Pines
    - Mnt. biking on the forest roads
    - 4th of July Parade
    - Christmas parade in White Pines
    - Gateway to Big Trees Park and the high country and all its activities in winter and summer

There you go, I was being negative, I should of been looking at the greater things that are in the area.
      Thank you

White Pines access is closed and Arnold Rim Trail is a public safety issue, too many people get lost out there
