Vandalism Of Pro- Measure B Sign
Murphys, CA...A pro-Measure B sign near the Gold Creek neighborhood on highway 26 was heavily damaged by vandals over night on Saturday, February 25. The sign, having been erected only two days prior was taken down from its supporting structure, which was also damaged, and sliced with a sharp instrument. David Tunno of The Committee to Ban Commercial Cultivation, and a proponent of Measure B repaired the sign the following morning.
“This is indicative of the element marijuana regulation has brought to this County,” Tunno said. “Vandalizing campaign signs is against the law. We will not back down to them and we encourage the voters in this County to do likewise. Our best remedy is to beat them with our votes.”

Are capable? but the facts are the facts. Drunk drivers KILLED MORE THEN 12,000 PEOPLE IN THE USA ALONE LAST YEAR, AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT. Then add into the fact of all the health hazards that killed thousands more, year after year. Add into that all of the crimes committed by people under the influence of alcohol, and ladies and gentlemen, we are talking about a drug that not only kills thousands of people every year, it causes 100's of millions of dollars in crime and health issues. It's also one of the most dangerous diseases in America, it's called alcoholism, which tears 10's of thousands of families apart a year, not one year, every year, after year, after year. It never stops.
I don't smoke it, but MARIJUANA does not seem as terribly bad as your precious bottle of wine, IF, and when, you are sober enough to look at FACTS. Go ahead, have another drink and tell your side of the story, but maybe try doing that when your sober.

Is your point that both alcohol and pot should be banned? If you are saying that alcohol is horrible, therefore we should legalize pot, that doesn't make much sense.

Like I said Mr. Drunkard, try telling your story how alcohol, and your alcoholism is harmless, and so much safer then marijuana.
Alcohol is evil, the problem is that your brain has been pickled by it for years is rather obvious.

We shouldn't be allowed to frack in Calif, it harms the ground water, aquifer and some say it may cause earthquakes as it has in the Midwest where they have never had the problem before.

Propaganda is "information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view."
The bansters promoting Yes on B have been misleading the residents of our county since they started collecting signatures.
And, they're "smart" enough to deface their own propaganda (signs) in an effort to get some press. It would also helps deflect attention to this: "Local Resident Challenges Measure B Authors Bill McManus & David Tunno For “Misleading” Voters."

Well the grower/dealers have destroyed the county and the land it sits on, I am not surprised by this behavior at all. I want them to take their dirty business elsewhere. Any money the county takes from them is dirty money.

Cannabis is now the number one commodity in Calaveras County. If it goes so will the money on top of the lawsuits that are bound to happen. You can't just invite people in to grow (which effectively we did without any ordinances in place following the Butte Fire) and expect them to walk away quietly.

So is placing them in the right of way.
I'm not sure, but I think it's also illegal to place political signs more than 90 days ahead of any election.

Calaveras is voting about becoming part of the future or remaining stagnant in the past. We have commercial alcohol production that harms far more people than pot. Why throw out the baby with the wine bottles?

" We have commercial alcohol production that harms far more people than pot"
Yes we do, and it costs us 100's of millions of dollars every year, if not billions with the health issues, crimes, lawsuits and 1,000's of deaths every year. I'd rather see marijuana take the place of alcohol, it would certainly be safer to everyone. No I'm not a farmer or smoker.
