Roadway Slipout Impacts U.S. Highway 50

Pollock Pines, CA... U.S. Highway 50 in El Dorado County has eastbound and westbound traffic lanes reduced to one lane in each direction after a roadway slipout near Bridal Veil Falls. In this Caltrans News Flash, see the extent of the damage to the highway and find out what immediate steps Caltrans is taking to tackle the issue.

U.S. 50 is currently open with the reduced number of lanes, however a long-term fix to the roadway is likely to take months due to the extensive damage. Motorists should check highway conditions before traveling by using QuickMap. Caltrans will also issue updates on Twitter and Facebook.

And while your helping that idiot with spelling, you might add the correct spelling for "tires", and "thousand",
