Man Reported Missing in Jenny Lind

Jenny Lind, CA...On 01/9/17 at approx. 8:30 PM, The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 9000 block of Opal Lane in Jenny Lind for a missing person’s report. Family members reported that Julio Gonzales (39) from Jenny Lind left his residence for work at approx. 6:00 AM on 01/09/17, driving an All-Terrain Vehicle. While driving to work he reportedly called his supervisor and told him that a bridge on the property had been flooded by the river. The family began searching for him when he did not return home at 4:30 PM. Calaveras County Search and Rescue has been activated and is assisting in the search of the property. The property consists of 80+ acres of orchard. The search efforts have been complicated by the wet weather and flooding in the area.

Julio Gonzales is described as 5’3”, 150lbs, brown hair and brown eyes. Gonzales has numerous small scars on his arms. Search and Rescue personnel located the ATV this morning at 10:35 AM in the river; however Mr. Gonzales has not been located. Anyone with information regarding Mr. Gonzales’ whereabouts is asked to call the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209)754-6500.
