Sonora, CA...Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Realty (BHHSCR) announced a milestone today in that over $100,000 has been generated thus far as part of its Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County matching funds program. Participating Realtors® contribute from each of their real estate transactions to Habitat for Humanity, with matching funds donated by BHHSCR and then re-matched by California Gold Development Corporation.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Realty, in partnership with California Gold Development Corporation, adopted Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit charitable organization, in 2011.

Broker/Owner Steve Campbell, Sr. said, “I consider Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Realty to be a close-knit family and we are pleased to have the Habitat for Humanity organization as part of it. Habitat for Humanity helps the community by helping to provide homes for people who otherwise could not afford home ownership.” In order to keep the homes affordable, Habitat for Humanity recruits volunteer labor, seeks house sponsorships, and solicits discounts on labor and materials from local vendors. Habitat for Humanity not only provides affordable housing, but has been supporting the local building economy since 2011.

On August 10, 2016, the broker, staff and agents of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Realty volunteered a Habitat for Humanity workday where painting and other finish work prepared a home for an eligible family.

The sales professionals who participate in the program are: Robin Rowland, Lynn Driscoll-Cory, Paul Wild, Berit Kentta-Brown, Janina Campbell, Olivia Campbell-Slight, Tina Gordon, Tim Nash, Paula Frantz and Mark Baker.

Additionally, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Realty Broker/Owner Steve Campbell Sr. also provides pro-bono brokerage services to the Habitat for Humanity organization. BHHSCR, which is independently owned and operated, joined the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Realty brokerage network, operated by HSF Affiliates LLC, in February 2014. Since that time, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has earned a host of honors, including a Gold Stevie Award and the 2014 Harris Poll Award. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has earned the Union Democrat’s Readers’ Choice Award for ten years, most recently the 2016 Best Real Estate Company in Tuolumne County.
