If, they plan to deliver paraquat by air, then I am all for it.

Disinfect and defoliate enemy positions relentlessly!

This has nothing to due with Transit. This has to do with the CCOG executive director and her oversized self serving agency trying to screw over a local agency that does excellent work in the county (all because they wouldn't apply to become a CTSA). If she'd stop and listen to her Council she wouldn't be trying to create an agency that isn't needed in our small rural county. Watch the video from the last CCOG meeting and you will see that the council voted not to support the executive directors recommendation. Now she is mad and trying to shove this item through. Wake up Council! Ask for an official pole of the first vote!!!

It interesting to watch the meeting online. In the first vote the Council votes against the CCOG recommendation and then when they go back and ask each Council member how they voted Amanda changes her vote the other way. The Executive Director has a discussion between the first vote and the poll. Did that discussion cause Amanda to change her mind. It doesn't really matter because the first vote already happened and is binding. They need to reinstate the result of the original vote. Now they are having a special session to discuss this some more. More wasted taxpayers dollars. I agree. Do away with the CCOG. We don't need it. It's just taking money away from Transit that could be used to provide more service to the people who need it.

Even more interesting is the fact that the video clearly shows Amanda voting no on the first vote. She then asks for clarification and is baffled with bull*bleep* by the executive director, and Amanda clearly becomes confused. Amanda obviously wants to do the right thing for the County by putting locals to work, but was coerced so that the executive director again gets it her own way in bringing out-of-county companies in to perform work that can be done by local agencies.

I saw the same thing. The special meeting on Thursday should be very interesting. I think the original vote should stand and they should award the contract to Common Grounds.
