I'm a non-smoker, and I believe this violates smokers rights.

This is ridiculous! This is how screwed up we are that while the debate rages over medical Marijuana the PINHEADS on the AC City Council are debating smoking cigarettes in the City limits. Seriously, don't thes idiots have better things to do and say then debate the use of a legal substance that provides the state boat loads of tax revenue. This tax revenue trickles down to the Counties in one fashion or another.

I don't smoke, never have but I will be damned if I would support such foolishness. Maybe next we can make AC a dry city, no alcohol but plenty of freshly harvested Pot! Government just needs to say no to this type of bulls-tt and tell the advocates to move on somewhere else. Maybe we could look at a bathing ordinance so I don''t have to smell other's BO or dental hygiene so the persons breathe doesn't just kill you.

Where does this all end, I don't think it does until people have the balls to call it out as total Bulls-to.

I am with you on said matter. People that live down town Angels are not 30 feet away from their neighbors. So you can own your property and house, but you can't smoke on it. If your neighbors complain, you have to find a place farther away? My neighbors smoke pot and meth all day, do something about that! I can care less about someone smoking cigarettes, I will just take some more steps away from the person if I don't want to smell it. Also, in this proposed ordinance, it is okay to smoke at the half course. Wtf! They will just keep taking our rights away if we don't stand up.

Ban smoking in Angels Camp for a healthier city. Second hand smoke is bad for us.

This was tried at the State Level back in the 80's and failed. I'm not a smoker but this is reaching far into civil liberties and into the private lives of the average citizen. This also wreaks of a total control of our lives in all aspects as UN Agenda 21 proposes in that the government has your best interest in mind and free choice not be allowed for the individual citizen. I strongly urge all of those opposed to make strong but firm speeches in protest of this issue. Once again I am not a Smoker but this stinks worse than any burning Cigarette left in a ask tray over night. If they take this Right away from you or you allow them to what will be the next Right you will lose in Angels Camp and where dos it end? If City Council passes this I strongly suggest the Citizens of Angels Camp look into filing a Class Action Law Suit against the City Of Angels Camp.

Are these the same people who have driven businesses and tourist away from your little city? If you like your city as is, instead of what it use to be like, keep these people, they are doing a great job in keeping your city looking like it's abandoned and dying. I use to like visiting Angels Camp, now it's kind of scary. Last time I visited I believe I had a choice of two places to have breakfast. What on earth happened?
What a shame, it was such a cute place to bring our family and friends, now....I think we will find a new place to vacation. There's always Murphys, but there seems to be a much higher (pardon the pun) group of homeless looking people there too. Is this because of the marijuana growers? It's a shame your BOS took the greedy path, now the citizens of your county will pay the price of having greed run their county.
Maybe we will our time and travel to Nevada City area, or Sutter Creek, it's very beautiful there too.
Good luck to the Calaveras county citizens, with all of these people growing, your population and crime should really start taking off. How sad.

Here's an idea ? Make AC a pedestrian traffic only Town. They could have a parking garage somewhere on the bypass and bus them to town every couple hours or so. Rename it Angels Ghost Town. Oh wait a already is !

It should also be known that there is an exception in the ordinance to continue to allow smoking in AC in only one place. Do you know where that place is? Greenhorn, because they wrote the ordinance but do not want to give up their cigars on the golf course. This is your local government at work. Run by bay area transplants with no true interest in improving the city.

So now the useless unneeded Police force will have something to do other than busting the Citizens of A/C. I guess they can use their canine to sniff out the smoke, it will be awesome. This is such an over reach by the council, it is just wrong. I'm saddened that this issue has come before the Council and those PINHEADs decided to act on it. I sure hope they use their head and stand for Liberty and Freedom.

A big lie is that America is Flash- it aint.

America is progressive, not Conservative. All independent studies from credible sources show America is much more progressive than conservative.

People want Social Security, Medicare, not the Republicans 50 year old fight against Social Security. Reagan started taxing Social Security benefits which came from a tax already it is a 2x tax . Bush and his pals in Congress shot holes in Medicare, the donut holes which now you have to pay the Ins Cos part A,B,C,D,E and so on making the Ins cos $ and costing you more.

        This the Republican way.

Time for people to wake up, see the Republicans for who they are- they are for the Oligarchy, against the 99% , which is YOU.

A vote for Dump is shooting yourself in the you know where.
