Outdoor Burning Still Suspended
San Andreas, CA...With the possibility of rain showers this weekend, it is important to remember that burning is still suspended. These light early-season rains do not provide the thorough soaking needed to make conditions safe for burning debris piles. Illegal burning at this time results in numerous wildfires from escaped debris burns. Outdoor burning will be prohibited until we receive significant wetting rain.
You must always call your local Air Pollution Control District burn day information line before doing any outdoor burning. The recorded information will tell you whether or not it is a burn day. Under no circumstances are you allowed to do any outdoor burning unless it is a permissive burn day.
