Are you for real

What are they going to do install Cameras and establish a Smoking Police Force? Truly Angels Camp is gone stupid. Good luck enforcing that with the tourists coming through. More Butt Nugget legislation.

I agree. Angels Camp is a small town and this ordinance is not necessary. I hardly see anyone smoking and when I do they are not bothering me as they smoke in areas away from other people. Waste of time as this is not a problem in general and we do not need smokers police. Will cause problems for visitors also.

Unreal - forget it! Don't see a problem. The few smokers that are left are in the minority. We don't need a "police state" community. There are areas in Utica Park that have no smoking signs and areas where smokers are o.k. Same for the other park. Outside a bar the owners could put out a large ashtray receptacle like they have at Greenhorn Creek.
      Forget it!!

This is ridiculous, the city is dying as it is.
Another liberal attempt to micro manage every aspect of ones life.
I have friends that are disabled and smoking is the only joy he has.

I agree with others above. This is not good for business. Also, they want to make exceptions for Greenhorn Creek and golfers. If they're doing this for nonsmokers' health, why should golfers suffer? It's clear the bar is the target. The one business that has been there over 100 years. Try to work with the owners first.
