King Constintine rewrote the New Testament 300 years after the bible was written.
Given the frailties agendas of mankind, for me to believe a book rewritten, and then translated later is absurd.
Religions main reason is to manipulate people.
Out of this manipulation millions have died, for what? a rewritten , and manipulated book?
It's all absurd. The diminution of women, the dogmas, the so called sins, the guilt trips.
What is good about religion?
It doesn't take religion with all it's problems to have a moral society.
All that is needed is to live by the golden rule.
Do Unto Others As You Would have Them Do Unto You .
Nothing else needed. Civilization would be much better off.
Spirituality is not religion , many are told this is so , it isn't.

The history of the Bible certainly means no sane person should believe in a literal interpretation of it. No one can be certain what Jesus or the Old Testament saints actually said or meant.
In addition all of the people I know who claim to believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible only believe the parts that they personally feel are "right." The Bible has many internal contradictions, which they ignore.

Agree, so at best, pursue a path of living the golden rule.
If you want the high of religion, and it is a high, the same endorphins released with drugs, we all see the dilated pupils of the faithful, after a rousing session at church, or bible reading.
Meditate, connect with all creation, spirituality, the connectedness of it all, not us vrs them, ours is the true one.

God's not dead, I hope you come to find this out before it is to late for you. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. For God so loved the world that he gave his own son for us to avoid the wrath to come. Act now before it becomes too late.
