Saddle Creek Plays Host To District 4 Candidates Night. Full Meeting Video

Copperopolis, CA...The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Calaveras County Taxpayers Association and the Angels Camp Business Association organized a Candidates Night for District 4. The venue was beautiful Saddle Creek. During this event candidates Sherri Smith, Dennis Mills and Ann Radford were given the opportunity to speak on their vision for the county and answered a series of business related questions. The subjects ranged from how to handle the marijuana issue to economic development and business retention and support.

Since it is crunch time and people are starting to mark those vote by mail ballots if you are a voter in District 4 or interested in our local government we urge you to watch the video of the entire candidate portion of the meeting.

A very good sized crowd was on hand tonight and the banquet room at Saddle Creek was filled. Several government officials, electeds and department heads were in attendance. SPI's Mark Luster did another great job as moderator.

We would also like to thank all the candidates running. Having the guts to throw your hat in the ring as a candidate for public office is not for the faint of heart. Over the years though it has been enjoyable to see candidates grow through the process. Running for office win or lose tends to stretch people in ways they hadn't imagined.
