Over 800 "Clifton Strong" Fill Mark Twain Hall In Support Of Kraig Clifton & Family
Angels Camp, CA...Last night at Frogtown the sold out dinner and overflowing Mark Twain Hall proved yet again why Calaveras County and rural small town America are the best places to have bad stuff happen. Calaveras High Men's Basketball Coach Kraig Clifton is fighting Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. Kraig and his family know for certain that they are not in this fight alone. In our area when someone faces one of life's battles they fight with not only family and close friends but in many instances entire communities behind them. Kraig who starred for Sonora High & Columbia College as a player before his Calaveas High Coaching career knows he and his family have Calaveras, Tuolumne counties and more are firmly behind them.

"Kraig Clifton was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer on December 6, 2015 and while this came with quite a shock to the Clifton family, Kraig and his wife Alissa handled this news with incredible grace, courage, and resilience. Kraig, Alissa, and the rest of the family create the most solid team and together they will beat this!
Kraig is all to familiar with what it takes to battle hard and win. His character, competitive nature, perseverance, and strength will overcome this battle.
Kraig and Alissa together are truly a force to be reckoned with and a pillar of strength and courage. Kraig and Alissa along with their four children; Jay(11), Ryan(8), Morgan(7), and Brandon (4) have a long and tough battle ahead.
Anybody that knows this family knows them to be kind, humble, and genuine and the love and support that continues to pour in only exemplifies this. To know the Clifton Family is to love them and now more than ever our support is needed to help this amazing family.
Let's all help to make sure they will not have to worry for a single second about anything other than Kraig's road to recovery. Love! Hope! Faith! Strength!
