Letter To The Editor On Updated Rules Of Engagement To Defeat ISIS

Washington, DC....We had a reader send in suggested rules of engagement for defeating ISIS. "Dear General Dunford, Please use your military expertise and council of the Joint Chiefs Of Staff to plan and execute plans to eliminate the ISIS threat to the free world. You are directed to use whatever level of aggression and balance of forces you deem fit to achieve the objective while minimizing loss of life of our service personnel and civilians...

Good Luck and report back when the objective has been reached.

Your President."

We should shorten each leg of ISIS's dinner table an inch+/- everyday While they're at work.
We could also deflate their tires air pressure 10-15lbs just to mess with them too, and reduce their cars fuel economy.

I've got tons more tricks to battle ISIS, don't get me started.

The State Dept said they needed jobs. Why don't we hire them as mine clearing details or in-flight missile repairmen.... Two birds, one stone.

Unfortunately you need to kill civilians, it is tragic but it is war. Wars are not won by just targeting troups, civilians must be targeted if they are working with ISIS. I hate to say it but that is what it will take to defeat the threat.

I stuck ISIS's hand in a cup of warm water one night when it was passed out.

ISIS/ISIL is the CIA Stooge Squad Fall Guys created to take down President Assad of Syria by our Government and NATO Member Nations. Follow the money trails. Muhajadeem, Contra Rebels, Al Qaeda, Libyan Rebels now ISIS/ISIL all financed with CIA Black Funding. Follow the money trails. Now look at those on the other side of the Coin and you will find the Russians funding the other side. The Cold War NEVER ended and still goes on today by these proxy wars to keep everybody off balance. Once again follow the money trails.

All of the above comments just show the absolute ignorance our higher educational institutions are producing these days. Instead of chiding the messenger why not prove the messenger wrong in a presentation. My bet is you would have to get your Nose unglued from the MSM first though.

I did the flaming bag of dog poop in a flaming paperbag trick on the doorstep of the apartment that ISIS rents downtown.

The premise of your correspondent is that the military would be doing something different if Obama would just get out of the way. I don't think that is true. Unlike all the chicken hawk retired generals flapping their gums on Fox News and elsewhere, real generals have to deal with the actual situation in the Middle East. Part of that reality is that Western nations and especially the US can not be an occupying force in Iraq and Syria. No one who lives there wants us there. US troops in Iraq or Syria is a recruiting dream for ISIL. It is counter-productive.

Furthermore, you can not militarily defeat ISIL. It is not a nation that can be made to surrender. You can certainly kill many ISIL leaders and fighters but as a strategy that fails for at least two reasons: (i) there will always be more of them, and (ii) you will at the same time kill the very civilians you need to create a stable government that can field its own police force to keep ISIL out.

Simple minds may think there are simple solutions, but there are not. We are very fortunate to have a thoughtful leader like Obama in charge. He is listening to the real generals and advisors, and those guys know this will be a tough long slog.

And lest we forget, we have this problem because the last President did have a simple mind and thought it would be a great idea to bring democracy (and US oil companies) to the Middle East by tipping over Hussein.
