Pond Skimming and Brewfest In Bear Valley
Bear Valley, CA...Join us on the slopes for some Pure Mountain Fun on April 11th. This is sure to be an awesome day on the mountain that you will not want to miss! Dig out your best retro ski clothes and show your skills in our Retro Jump Competition. You can also partake in our pond skimming event, open to all that want to put their skimming skills to the test and make it across the pond on your skis or snowboard....
This event is a crowd favorite and you will hear the crowd roar whether you effortlessly fly across or take the plunge! Get in on the comps or kick back and enjoy the festivities. We'll be jammin' to reggae during pond skim and then we close out the day with rockin' retro tunes and ice cold crafted brews! Groove Doctors will get you off your feet and go ahead - Dance !
Breweries that are participating in the Bear Valley Brew fest include Sierra Nevada, Kona Brewing Co., Lagunitas, Tioga Sequoia, Snowshoe Brewing Co., Indigeny Reserve, and Black Diamond Brewing Co. Best of all these awesome breweries join us to raise funds for Sierra Hope.
8:45 – 11AM – registrations in Sun Room Kiosk (jump & skim)
10-11AM – practice for Retro Jump
11AM-12:30PM – Retro Jump Contest (ski & board)
1-2PM – Pond Skimming (pre-registration required) Mountain Lion Sound
2pm - Brewfest and Groove Doctors hit the stage!
