Murphys, CA...Nurtured Heart Approach® Creator Howard Glasser To Present Full-Day Seminar in Murphys, April 24, 2015. Calaveras County professionals, parents, mentors, and interested community members will have the opportunity this Spring to meet and learn from Howard Glasser, the creator of the widely-acclaimed Nurtured Heart Approach ®. Glasser will present “Awakening Greatness in Children: The Nurtured Heart Approach for Transforming Intensity to Immensity” on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. Space is limited and those interested are encouraged to register early. Howard Glasser is founder and chairman of the Children’s Success Foundation, and author of several best-selling books, including Transforming the Difficult Child, Notching Up the Nurtured Heart Approach ® (for ADHD), and All Children Flourishing. Worldwide, the Nurtured Heart Approach has been used by hundreds of thousands of parents, educators, and treatment and child-advocacy agencies with transformative results for children. The approach is used widely by counselors, educators and mentors in Calaveras County....
Participants will:
· Discover a new perspective and understanding of the dynamics of intense children and how to shift them to a default of success and greatness.
· Learn to apply an approach for children that creates success and a method that is far more powerful than traditional approaches to behavior change.
· Use strategies to avoid accidentally rewarding negativity, while still developing a great level of accountability in children.
The workshop is offered at no cost to all Calaveras County residents and those who provide services to children in Calaveras County. There is a $25 registration fee for Tuolumne and Amador County residents, who may register through their local First 5 agency.

The event is being sponsored by First 5 Calaveras with funding from the Mental Health Services Act, and presented in partnership with First 5 Amador, First 5 Tuolumne, Prevent Child Abuse Council-Calaveras, Calaveras County Office of Education, and Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program.
This course meets the qualifications for 6.5 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. CEUs provided by Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services, California Board of Behavioral Sciences PCE#3699.
