Moderate Injuries In Hwy 4 Accident

Arnold, CA....This morning at 11:25am a 51 year old Bear Valley man was traveling east and a 21 year old man from Forest Meadows was driving west on Hwy 4 near Red Tail Hawk Drive when the accident occurred. The Murphys resident turned his 2003 Toyota in front of the Toyota Tundra driven by the Bear Valley resident. The driver of the Tundra braked but was unable to avoid a broadside collision...

The 21 year old Murphys man was transported via air ambulance to Memorial Hospitial in Modesto for treatment of his injuries.

This collision appears to have been caused by a right of way violation. Neither speed nor alcohol were factors. The accident is still under investigation....
