Blue Skies and Great Groomers In Bear Valley! 2 People Per Square Mile and Lifts to Yourself!

Bear Valley, CA...Time to get up to the mountains and enjoy the enduring quality conditions of our slopes and uncrowded lift lines. Holidays in Bear Valley are off-the-hook fun, but now is the time to take your turns. Our snow making and grooming teams are working their utmost to maintain the steep and their efforts are not going unnoticed. We’ve heard many say that ours are some of the finest conditions in in the Sierra Nevada. In other words, the skiing and boarding is good—really, really good—right now....

Perfect Family Getaway - Head for the Mountains!

BUT WHY ARE CONDITIONS SO GOOD?

Early-season snowmaking helped to create a solid, bonded base layer of snow. Current efforts are all about taking advantage of any snowmaking opportunities Mother Nature allows and boy do we ever!

We’ve been stockpiling snow (don’t call us hoarders) for transporting to any trouble spots that arise.

When slope snow “drift” occurs, we pull the snow that has been transported by ski and board edges from the top of the run downward back up for a consistent coating of magnificent corduroy.

We’re choosy about grooming. As in, we strike the Goldilocks balance of not too much, not too little in order to maintain a compacted state of snow, the type of snow resists melting.

We’re doing our thing so you can do yours! Take advantage of post- and pre-holiday calm and get some of the pure mountain fun we’re serving up at Bear Valley Mountain.
