Happenings at the Murphys Historic Hotel! PlanB Rocks The Hotel Tonight
Murphys, CA...Happy New Year! New Years Resolutions are a thing of the past when Valentine's Day shows up, so let's try something different! We want to try some New Year's Blessings and Well Wishes! We wish you and your family all the happiness, joy and well being that comes with a New Year and new beginning and thank you for being a part of our Murphys Hotel family!
January is Here!
Plan B will be here on January 3rd, that's tomorrow, for some rockin' songs to keep the New Year lively! Come on down and listen!
Please note that the Grape Growers of Calaveras WineGrape Alliance, who traditionally meet on the first Friday of each month, will be meeting on the second Friday, January 9th in the Gold Room. Each month a speaker highlights discusses issues with growing grapes, and everyone works together to find a resolution. Contact Sara or Steve Collum for more information, it begins at 9am, but come early if you want breakfast.
On Friday, January 30th we will be serving our delicious, bottomless Cioppino. We have ran out before, so please make reservations ahead of time, and let the Front Desk Ladies know you are planning to fill your belly with the amazing Cioppino. Chef Joel has to make sure he prepares enough for everyone! Dinner starts at 5pm, don't be late!

February has some sweet and spicy events!
Superbowl Sunday is our time to cook up Chili for the Food Bank and Local Hospice. Each year we gather teams of professional and amateurs to cook up there chili, tasters pay $10 or 10 cans of food to taste a wide variety of chilis, and vote on their favorite chili and theme. Local businesses donate wonderful prizes for the winners and for the raffle. If you can help in any way, contact Brian for more information. See you on Sunday, February 1st.
On Friday the 13th, Plan B returns for a suspicious night of amazing music, come listen from 9pm to 1am.
Valentine's Day is on a Saturday this year, do you have your room reservations yet? Contact Deanna and the girls at the Front Desk for room or dinner reservations. If you check our website, we will have the Valentine's Day Menu up shortly, it will be a Coursed Meal planned for you by Chef Joel and Brian.
Are you familiar with this little get together called Mardi Gras?!? We are too, and on Fat Tuesday (February 17th) we will be bringing it to Murphys! Kicking Mardi Gras Music, authentic food and drinks, and possibly even some face painting! Contact Kevin and Brian for more information, and watch our website. Spots will be limited so call now!
The Calaveras WineGrape Alliance hosts their annual President's Wine Weekend on February 21st and 22nd, after purchasing your commemorative glasses, enjoy wine tastings and barrel tasting from participating wineries in town.
And naturally Cioppino on February 27th, and remember, our Full Dinner Menu is available if you are not a huge fan of seafood! Call for reservations early.
We were voted 'Best Watering Hole' by the Calaveras Lodestar and it's readers AGAIN! Additionally, we were awarded the 2014 Best Lodging by Innovations in Tourism for braving Hotel Hell, hosting events and upgrading a beautiful hotel. And if that wasn't flattering enough we were given an Award from the Senate signed by Frank Bigelow and Tom Berryhill. Come see why!
