January 3rd, Celebration Of Life For Everett Wayne (Stick) Morgan, 82,
Murphys, CA...Everett Wayne ( Stick ) Morgan , age 82 of Murphys California died in Calaveras County on December 2, 2014. Private internment services were held at Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys on December 13,2014. A Celebration of life Ceremony will be held on January 3, 2015,1:00 p.m. at the Native Sons Hall located in Murphys California. Mr. Morgan was born in French Camp California November 29, 1932. He Attended grade school in San Jose Ca. Graduated from Orland High School in 1951 and then attended Chico State College in Chico California after being discharged from the Navy. He was employed with the Oakland Fire Department for 26 years. Following retirement he moved to Douglas Flat in Calaveras County. He was employed as a Transportation Officer in the Mental Health Department for 14 years with Calaveras County. He joined the US Navy as a Naval Construction Engineer with the Seabee’s who live by the motto, “We Build, We Fight, Can Do”. While in the Navy Seabees, Everett was stationed at Subic Bay, in the Philippines. Stick, as he was best known, was an active member of the Murphys/ Angels Camp Lions Club for 22 years where he focused on fund raising projects. He was a long-time resident of Calaveras County where he resided in Douglas Flat for 22 years spending the last 8 years in the Murphys Diggins...
He is survived by his companion Diana, son Samuel (Linda )Morgan of Modesto, son Dean Morgan (Barbara) of Angels Camp ,Aunt Ettie Morgan of Douglas Flat. Cousins, Arlene Tayala of Ripon, Ca. Donna Little of Manteca, Ca. and numerous nieces and nephews. Grandchildren, James, Melissa, Jason, Nickolas & Alisa. Great grandchildren , Waylon & Leland with an extended family of Jeff and Beth White, with their daughters, Julie , Sarah and Darla.
