Country Cloth Shop is Offering Many Fun Classes!
Angels Camp, CA...Country Cloth Shop, located at 330 N. Main Street Angels Camp, CA is offering many fun classes to the public. OPEN SEWING: Every Tuesday (11:00 am to 4 pm) $10. This day is set aside for you to work on your own project, .no teacher available, but we are all here to help. PLEASE SIGN UP prior to - so we don't crowd classroom. $5 extra to use one of our machines. COME WINE WITH US!! Every Tuesday Evening (5 pm to 8 pm) $10 Bring a project to work on and be here before 5 pm and be ready to relax, sew and visit with friends. You will receive a 25% discount on fabric & notions purchased between 5 & 8. Wine & hors d'oeurves will be served so you must be 21 to attend. The shop will not be open for business between these hours. Please call and reserve your space, we must have at least 4 people to keep this time open...
BASIC SEWING: Fridays, January 9, 16, 23 (2 pm to 5 pm) $45 for these 3 days of lessons Ginger will help you start the new year learning how to sew from the beginning. She will teach you about the machine you have, reading patterns, cutting fabric and how to make a simple night gown or pajamas using a Kwik Sew Pattern #4089. Use these new found techniques to create new ideas for decorating, quilting and crafts.
T-SHIRT RECYCLE: Saturday, January 10 (11 am to 1 pm) $10 -- Instructor Kathy. Do you have T-shirts that you aren't wearing anymore??? Too small, too big, doesn't fit right or small stain? WHY DO WE KEEP THEM?? Because Kathy will show you what you can make with them this month we will make a cute scarf. Bring your own T-shirt, or we have some for sale ($5) Men's T-shirts work best, but any jersey knit T-shirt will work.
BLOCK OF THE MONTH :Tuesday, January 13 (11 am or 3 pm)
I WANT THAT: Wednesday, January 14 (11 am to 1 pm) $10, Instructor Kathy. How do you know which notions you need?? i.e. you need a seam ripper, but which one is best? Kathy will explore a basket of notions that you may have seen, but wonder how they work. If you have a favorite notion you would like share, please bring it. Notions discussed at class will be for sale with a 20% discount on the day of the class.
SERGER TECHNIQUES: Thursday, January 15 (11 am to 4 pm) *$25 Instructor Ginger. Many patterns work well with a serger and are sew FAST! Ginger likes to make tablecloths with quilt patterns and not quilt them, the Bargello pattern is good to start with. Ginger will show how to finish this tablecloth, that has exposed seams, with a nice serged edge that won't ravel. This also can be made into a quilt seams lay flat. * Free to Bernina Club members.
CLOUD NINE QUILT; Wednesday, January 21 (11 am to 4 pm) $28, Instructor Laurie. This fast and easy quilt is created using 12 fat quarters in any beautiful colors or prints that you would like. Laurie will show you the basic construction and away you go making your own special colorful quilt.
ZENTANGLE -- Thursday, January 22 (1 pm to 4 pm) $12, Instructor Chris Bernasconi. Come find out how much fun it is to Tangle while learning the basics of Zentangling... just a few dots, lines, curves or squiggles transform in to art right before your eyes. All you need for this class is one or two micron pens, a pencil and some paper to practice on. If you have a pad of art paper or tiles, bring them if you want, but not necessary for this basic class.

LEARNING TWISTER: Wednesday, January 28 (11 am to 4 pm) $20,
Instructor Laurie. Laurie will show you what you can make out of 5 squares and the Midi Twister Ruler. It's so much fun to watch the design come to life in wall hangings, baby quilts, or table runner, and even a miniature quilt with the leftovers from your project.
INTERMEDIATE APPLIQUE: Thursday,January 29 (10 am to 1 pm) $30, Instructor Daisy. Daisy will share with you her tips and techniques for appliquéing as you work along with her on the pattern that she will supply you in class.
RAGGY FLANNEL JACKET: Friday, January 30 (11 am to 4 pm) $25 Instructor Lindy. The Raggy Flannel Jacket returns!! This popular jacket is made from just two layers of flannel so it is lightweight and very comfortable. You will love how fast, easy, fun and fabulous it is to make. Lindy has a few tips to share with you about the raggy piecing technique, so don't miss this one!
BALI BEDRUNNER:Saturday, January 31 & February 14 (11 am to 4pm) $25 Certified instructor, Victoria Johnson, will teach you the Judy Niemeyer paper piecing technique using foundation paper (included in the pattern). The finished size of this beautiful bed runner is 30" x 104".
