"Santa’s Express"...It's The Time of Year to Help
San Andreas, CA...The Resource Connection Food Bank’s Santa’s Express will make holiday meals a reality for families in need throughout Calaveras County again this year. Santa’s Express is a community sponsored event that began in 1983 when it distributed just five boxes of food. This year, The Resource Connection Food Bank will distribute close to 1,000 meals, complete with either a turkey or ham and all the trimmings. For parents and families who cannot afford toys at Christmas, Santa’s Express provides children up to age eleven with two new donated toys....

Senator Tom Berryhill and Assemblyman Frank Bigelow sent members of their staff to The Resource Connection Food Bank with a donation of $500 for Santa’s Express.
The Resource Connection Food Bank is a program of The Resource Connection, a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization serving both Calaveras and Amador counties for over 35 years.
The Resource Connection’s mission is:
“Engaging Families, Empowering Communities, and Enriching Lives”
Today, the Resource Connection has a dedicated community Board and a professional staff of approximately 1310 people. Current programs include: The Resource Connection Food Bank, Head Start/Early Childhood Programs, WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), Calaveras Crisis Center, and Childcare Resource and Referral.
