"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Coming to Black Bart Playhouse on October 31st!

Murphys, CA...On October 31st Murphys Creek Theatre will be showing, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at the Black Bart Playhouse, 580 South Algiers St., Murphys. This benefit fundraiser will feature a costume contest, raffle prizes and of course audience participation! Festivities begin at 11PM with the film screening to begin at midnight. Audience members are encouraged to dress as their favorite character from the film. “There is plenty of room on the stage to get up and lip ...

synch and dance and follow with the action”, said Artistic Director Graham S. Green. “That is core to this particular film.” We considered a live performance of the show but the interactive nature of the film screening gives audiences a chance to be much more involved.”

So bring your best Frank N Furter, Columbia, Magenta, Rif Raff, Brad, Janet and Eddie – we welcome veterans of Rocky Horror as well as newbies!

Interactive Supplies will be available for purchase at the theater box office.
All proceeds benefit Murphys Creek Theatre’s efforts to create outstanding performances, engagement with its audience, and leadership within the community. We endeavor to create a diverse body of work that reflects the highest artistic standards and seek to maintain an environment in which talented artists can do their best work. We strive to engage our audiences in an ongoing dialogue of ideas, and encourage lifelong learning as a core community value through productions, outreach, and education.
