“Trip The Toe Fantastic! Or Incidents On The Way To The Holiday Ball”...2014 Lamplight Tours at Columbia State Historic Park
Columbia State Park, CA...Come one and all to Columbia State Historic Park’s annual Lamplight Tours on Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th! Get ready to laugh and be merry with the costumed citizens of Columbia during this annual holiday themed event. Participants will be guided through the decorated town during the walking play and experience Columbia of 1860. While townspeople are preparing for the biggest event of the year, there’s something amiss. Uncover what’s happening! Join us for an evening of music, frolic, dancing and family fun! ...
“Trip The Toe Fantastic” Lamplight Tour script was written by Columbia docents based on newspapers of actual events in 1860. Each stop will focus on a different event based on the newspaper research. Be prepared to be amazed at some of the real happenings of the town during the Gold Rush!
Tickets for the family friendly event may be purchased online at: www.friendsofcolumbiashp.com or by calling (209) 532-3184. Tours leave every 15 minutes beginning at 6:30pm on Friday and 5:30pm on Saturday. Tickets are $20. Ages five and under free.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the non-profit Friends of Columbia in the funding of interpretive and educational events and programs at Columbia State Historic Park.
