County Administrative Officer Lori Norton Has Tendered Her Resignation

San Andreas, CA....Calaveas County CAO Lori Norton, tendered her resignation to the Board of Supervisors last night. They have accepted her resignation and according to Assistant CAO Shirley Ryan, it will be effective December 31st of this year and she will be on leave for a good portion of that time. An interim CAO will probably be named at the next board meeting...

Norton came to the county with over 25 years of experience in the public sector including having served as Deputy County Administrator of Sonoma County, Principal Analyst of Santa Barbara County, Principal Analyst of Ventura Regional Sanitation District, and Purchasing Manager for the City of Thousand Oaks. Norton has held key roles in budget and policy development, community and intergovernmental relations, strategic planning, organizational development and program management and review.

Now former CAO Norton had been serving the residents of Calaveras County since May of 2013.

Norton replaced John Blacklock, who served as Interim County Administrative Officer since January following the retirement of Jeanne Boyce who served in the position for 3 years.
