Murphys, CA....In an effort to provide local musicians with the opportunity to perform in front of live audiences, as well as a unique experience for the community, Ironstone has implemented a new music series - Friday Night in the Cave – Bands, Barrels and Barbeque. As the first of the series was an overwhelming success in July, and featured local bands – The Experimentalist, Jill Warren and The Hot Dark. The next Bands Barrels and Barbeque is slated for Friday, August 29th and will showcase Cabby featuring Brian Jirka, Lightning Boy and his Thundering Blues Band and The Little Fuller Band....

Jirka, a Murphys native, and his band bring an eclectic blend of classic rock, soul and funk. Thirteen-year old guitar prodigy, Lightning Boy of Amador County, and his Thundering Blues Band consistently amaze audiences with a full spectrum of blues music from BB King to Hendrix and beyond. Rounding out the show is the dynamic Little Fuller Band of Tuolumne County. The Little Fuller Band combines influences from folk, bluegrass, country, gypsy, punk and rock and roll with a focus on a heavily rhythmic use of traditional string instruments.
A wide variety of small plate barbeque and snacks will be available for purchase, as well as beverages – wine, beer and soft drinks. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome! For more information please call: (209)728-1251
