What’s Happening in Murphys this Week August 26th through September 5th

Murphys, CA...Wine Down Friday @ Stevenot - Each first Friday of each month from 5-8 pm Stevenot hosts "Wine Down Friday" in the Tasting Room on Main St. Murphys. This is an opportunity to meet the owners and staff while enjoying Stevenot Wines by the glass, party platters, and live music. Call 209-728-3485 for more information....


September Artist Showing at Hovey Tasting Room - The acclaimed oil paintings of Kathleen Dunphy will be showcased at Hovey Winery Tasting Room, 350 A Main St., Murphys in September. An artist’s reception will be held in her honor from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7. Complimentary appetizers will be served and wine will be available by the glass for $5.

Mondays at Roquefort - We invite you to join us in the garden for our Chefs Market. Come on down to sit, sip, and listen to Owen and Kiel as they take you away to a blissful paradise. Gates open at 5 pm. FREE admission. Some vendors may accept credit cards, but it is not guaranteed. For questions and comments, feel free to contact Roquefort, 209-728-9743.

Tuesdays at Alchemy - every Tuesday night from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Enjoy a featured wine and a great meal. As always, there is live music on the patio from 5:30-8 pm. Call 209.728.0700 for reservations.

Thursdays at Outer Aisles - Farmers & Artisans Craft Market - The Murphys Farmers and Artisan Crafts Market will be held each Thursday in the Outer Aisle‘s parking lot from 4 pm until dusk. Fridays and Saturdays at Zucca Tasting Room - "Zucca After Hours" is open 5-8 pm. If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a glass of wine on a Friday or Saturday night, the Zucca garden is your place. We always welcome your picnic items or takeout from area restaurants should you want to make a night of it.

Saturdays in Murphys - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge (donations gratefully accepted) on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum. Please contact Jo Sanders at 209-728-3072 to confirm dates and times or make arrangements for large groups.

Saturdays Flight Night at Tanner Vineyards - Every Saturday in August from 6-8PM, kick back in downtown Murphys and enjoy Flight Night at Tanner Vineyards. August 30, 2014 - Preview of Auction Items at Ironstone - Come join the Fred Holabird team at the Ironstone Vineyards Museum on Saturday from 10am to 4pm for a one day preview of outstanding local finds from the upcoming September auction including a massive Utica Mining, Angels Camp, & Murphys archive. August 30, 2014 - Annual Forest Meadows Garage Sale - Join us from 8:30am-2:00pm for our annual sale featuring furniture, antiques, designer clothing, decorator items, jewelry, sports equipment, tools, books electronics, vintage trains and much more. Stop at the gate and pick up the list of locations including more that 40 participants. Absolutely no entrance until 8:30 am.

September 1, 2014 - Free Labor Day Concert in the Park with the Calaveras Community Band - Beginning at 6:30 pm, Bandmaster Mic Harper will lead the group, which traces its history to the days of the Gold Rush, in a program covering a wide range of concert band music. Concertgoers should bring a picnic supper. There will not be any food or beverages for sale in the park. Murphys Community Park is located on Algiers St. in historic downtown Murphys. September 5, 2014 - First Fridays in the Park with the Chains Required - The summer concert series continues with local rock favorites Chains Required beginning at 5:30 pm. The concert is free and food and drinks will be available for purchase from 5-8 pm. Murphys Catering will be the caterers for this week's event so come down and enjoy the music in our beautiful Murphys Community Park.
