Alpine County Festival Celebrates Fall Colors

Alpine County, CA....Enjoy spectacular fall colors in scenic Alpine County on September 25-27 at the Alpine Aspen Festival hosted by the Alpine Watershed Group. This event will feature music at the Markleeville Library Park, Markleeville, CA, and an all-time favorite Dutch Oven Cooking class for those wanting to experience cowboy cuisine. Festival activities will include nature and ecology hikes, historic.....

Emigrant Trail hikes, a horseback ride through Charity Valley, fly fishing classes and kayaking tours. Workshops in photography and plein air painting will also be offered. Experts will guide all hikes, tours or workshops that range from half day to 2 days in length. Space is limited for all activities so purchase your tickets soon.

For additional information regarding the festival and ticket purchase, visit http://www.alpineaspenfestival.org. All proceeds for the entire festival will benefit the Alpine Watershed Group (AWG), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2006.

The AWG is a locally organized, voluntary, non regulatory group that works to preserve and enhance the natural system functions in Alpine County’s watershed through collaboration, education and proactively implementing projects that benefit the County’s watershed. More information about the AWG may be found at http://www.alpinewatershedgroup.org or call Dan Kaffer at 721-5871.
