Please Help Keith & Linda Thomason Recover From Accident

Angels Camp, CA...Keith and Linda Thomason were injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday, July 30 outside of Winnemucca, NV while traveling to Sturgis. Their motorcycle got a flat tire as did the small trailer that they were pulling as they came into a reduced speed construction zone on I-80. Keith felt the tire getting flat and the bike starting to shake and slowed down as much he could, but unfortunately he didn't enough time. The flat tires caused the bike and trailer to overturn throwing both Keith and Linda off the bike. They were taken by ambulance to Humbolt General Hospital in Winnemucca....

Keith was diagnosed with 9 broken ribs (later to be told it was 11), a punctured lung and a broken clavicle. Linda's elbow was shattered and she would need surgery. It was decided that they needed to be sent to Renown Regional Medical Center. Keith was medi-flighted and Linda was taken by ambulance.

Linda was taken into surgery on Wednesday evening to repair her elbow. Keith was admitted to the ICU. On Saturday August 2, he had surgery to fix his clavicle and have a metal plate put in his chest to stabilize his broken ribs. Surgery went well, but he may have to have another one. Linda was released on Friday and was staying in the hotel on-site at the hospital to be near Keith, who will be in the hospital for a little while longer.

One of the biggest concerns with Keith being unable to move around a lot as an inpatient is the possibility of getting pneumonia. They confirmed today that he does in fact have it and is now on 2 antibiotics to get rid of that.

Keith owns a tire shop in Murphys and Linda works for Dr. Cunnington in Arnold. Neither of them will be able to work for quite a while due to their injuries.

These are two of the nicest people that I know. They would do anything to help someone in need. We are so grateful that this accident wasn't any worse. The road construction saved their lives.

Please help us raise some money to alleviate some of the stresses that they will be facing upon coming home.

There is a Go Fund Me account set up online. To donate there, click http://www.gofundme.com/cqvl58

There is also an account open at El Dorado Saving Bank. It is under Keith & Linda Medical Fund. Depostis can be made there or mailed to Keith & Linda Medical Fund, PO Box 654, Altaville, CA 95221
