Music in the Parks Presented the Delta Wires at Utica Park, Angels Camp

Angels Camp, Ca...Delta Wires, a seven member harmonica, horns, and blues band, delivered a powerful and jumping performance. Utica Park was jam-packed with happy people enjoying the rythm and the mood, dancing and having a great time, as Delta Wires provided laughs and smiles along with a fantastic beat.

The free Wednesday evening summer series, Music in the Parks, begins on June 11 in Copperopolis and ends ten weeks later in Murphys on August 13. To help pay for these performances, the arts council is launching its membership drive to sign up new members and to re-sign existing members. Individual membership is $35 and Family membership is $50. Membership is from July 1 to June 30. Membership gives you that special feeling for supporting the arts as well as discounts at event ticket sales and Gallery Store purchases. The big August 2 fundraiser in Sheep Ranch, Cajun Fete Dinner and Dance Party, tickets for members is $65/each; for non-members they are $75/each. Enjoy the savings by becoming a member.

The Gallery Store is filled with many new art pieces ranging from jewelry, wood working, visual, ceramic, and fabric art. Books and music CDs are also available. Members receive a 10% discount on all purchases.

For a downloadable schedule of Music in the Parks, artist links, art and music classes, and other events presented by the Calaveras Arts Council, log on to www.calaverasarts.org or call (209) 754-1774.
