“Hay Bales & Teacups” - Fundraiser for San Andreas-Mountain Ranch Friends of the Library

San Andreas, Ca...

‘Hay Bales & Teacups’

The year’s major fund raiser for Calaveras County’s Main Library will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, in “The Secret Garden,” 374 E. St. Charles St., (Highway 49) in San Andreas. The celebration includes dinner and entertainment, a raffle, a door prize and a silent auction for a wide selection of quality gifts, a no-host bar, and music by the acclaimed Sierra Mountain Band.

The theme is “Hay Bales & Teacups.” Western wear is recommended.

Western fiddler and minstrel Dave Rainwater was asked to form a band in 2011 to entertain the guests for the summer series at the Hurst Ranch Country BBQ in Jamestown. They’ve since performed throught the Sierra foothills and gained a large following of devoted fans with their vintage bluegrass, country, cowboy and old time music. With Rainwater are Dick Todd, Elida Eickes, and Keith Keenom.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available from the Calaveras County Main Library, San Andreas, 754-6510; Calaveras Arts Council, 754-1774; Shirley, 754-5816; Jodi, 890-9740; Friends of the Library, P.O. Box 458, San Andreas, CA 95249. Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. and the music begins at 6 p.m.

For more information, contact: Lois Conklin, 754-1277, or Karen Eggleston, 754-9512.
