Joseph Hayden Age 26 From Kentucky Is Missing Air Force Member In Pinecrest Accident

Pinecrest, CA...On Sunday, May 11, 2014 about 2:30 P.M., the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a missing person in the “Cleo’s Bath” area of Pinecrest Lake. The missing person is a 26 year old member of the United States Air Force Stationed at Travis Air Force Base. The missing person was with a group of friends when he dove into the water at the inlet above Pinecrest Lake (Cleos Bath). The subject failed to resurface.


A search was conducted by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team, Tuolumne County Fire Department and the United States Forest Service. The missing person was not located. USFS is monitoring the area and an additional search will be conducted when the water flow slows allowing for a more thorough and safe search..

The identity of the missing US Air Force Member missing and presumed drown at Pinecrest Lake can now be released:

Active Us Air Force Stationed at Travis Air Force Base
State of Enlistment: Kentucky

There is no updated information at this time and the body has not been located.
