The candidates addressed a range of topics on issues they will face as members of the Board of Supervisors including the transient occupancy tax, water rights, commercial and residential development, business regulations, law enforcement, library funding and continuing education. The Pine Tree.net has posted an unedited two hour long video of the meeting for the District Three voters that were unable to attend the forum. The posted video will also give those that were at the meeting an opportunity to clarify and review what the three candidates positions are on the issues, how they presented themselves as individuals, answered the prepared questions and responded to the concerns of the audience. There will be another District Three candidates’ forum on Tuesday, May 6 at Sequoia Woods in Arnold, CA at 7 pm. The Arnold meeting is co-sponsored by the Calaveras Economic Development Company and the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce.
