Mother Lode Job Training Workshops for Job Seekers Begin April 10

San Andreas, CA ... The Mother Lode Job Training has three workshops aimed at helping job seekers succeed at finding employment in their desired field. The workshops will be held at the Calaveras Career Center of Mother Lode Job Training at 700 Mountain Ranch Road, Ste. A, San Andreas, CA. The workshops are free but pre-registration is required. Call (209) 754-4242 to reserve a spot at the training. Job Search Success is the topic of the first workshop on Thursday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Information will include tips on finding jobs listings on line, resume dos and don’ts and how to be persistence without being annoying. Emily Graham, the career counselor at the Calaveras Career Center will lead this workshop.

Resume Writing will be held on Wednesday, April 23 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Learn how to show your best to land the interview, draft an ideal cover letter and how to handle references. Emily Graham, the career counselor at the Calaveras Career Center will lead this workshop as well.

Ready to Work, held on Thursday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., explores what you bring to the job, what the employer needs, what you need to get the job, and what you needs to keep a job. Elena Linehan, manager of the Calaveras Career Center will lead this workshop.
The Auxiliary aids and services are available on request to individuals with disabilities.

Mother Lode Job Training also has scholarships for educational and vocational training for qualifying individuals through the Mother Lode Workforce Investment Act Scholarships. A portion or all costs associated with training can be covered by these scholarships. Scholarships applications are available on request.
