Seventeenth Annual Calaveras Library Trivia Bee
San Andreas, CA....It’s that time of year……..for trivia enthusiasts to dust off their memories of little known facts and come out to play! The Friends of the Calaveras Library are sponsoring their 17th annual fun-filled evening of dinner and trivia competition this March 22, 2014, at the San Andreas Town Hall. This year’s theme, “California Dreaming”, will provide plenty of material for the Trivia Contest. The competition for the top prize and bragging rights in the trivia contest is always fierce and full of good-natured jibes...
Last year’s winners were members of a well-established San Andreas area team, The Eggheads. In addition to the competition of the tournament, event guests enjoy dressing in theme costumes and creating their table decorations in anticipation of a delicious dinner catered by the Pickle Patch. Mike Taylor, editor of a well-known local publication, and Pat Ross, program coordinator for Calaveras Adult Literacy, will again co-anchor the funny festivities as quiz show host and master of ceremony.
Individuals and non-team groups are encouraged to purchase their $25 tickets for admission and dinner in advance, as a limited number of tickets are still available. For tickets, call the Calaveras County Library in San Andreas at 754-6510.
