POSITION: Executive Manager
HOURS: Full Time

SUPERVISOR: Executive Director
JOB SUMMARY: This position is an integral part of the executive management team. Enhances executive management team’s effectiveness by providing information management support. Performs a variety of highly responsible, confidential, and complex administrative duties. The executive manager works at the direction of the Executive Director and is responsible for supporting overall agency operations of The Arc in all departments. Leads agency resource development plan at the direction of the Executive Director in all fundraising, marketing, public relations and outreach tasks, including: grant-writing, special events, direct solicitations, direct mail, gift appeals, memorial and tribute funds, charitable gifts, planned gifts, government contracts and corporate pledge programs. Maintains confidential and sensitive information.
SUPERVISES: Executive Secretary
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
A. Data Entry.
a. Researches and analyzes agency donor base, and recommends solicitation strategies.
b. Collects and inputs Needs & Interests Survey at least annually at all sites.
c. Collects and evaluates agency data including: daily census and attendance trends in all sites and programs; membership data; program participation; etc and report’s findings regularly to Executive Director, Management Team (and Board as directed).
B. Resource Development
a. Donor Prospecting & Stewardship.
b. Grant Research, Development, Procurement and Oversight.
C. Conducts Commitment To Quality & Safety reviews annually and develops plan of action.
D. Acts as a spokesperson for the organization in the community.
E. Attends relevant trainings, conferences and seminars and actively participates in leadership opportunities within and outside of The Arc Movement.
F. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Works closely with Executive Director and Finance Director, monitors budget trends, makes recommendations for budget adjustments and special projects.
A. Assists Executive Director in the development of annual program budget and priorities.
B. Ensures that all program supervisors are adhering to fiscal policies and budgets.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT: Develops employee training schedule to achieve agency, personal, employee related, and professional goals.
A. Develops implements and evaluates Personnel Policies in partnership with the Executive Director and Finance Director.
B. Actively participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of Salary Administration Plan.
C. Works closely with the Executive Secretary, to insure the collection, filing and maintenance of all relevant and required paperwork necessary to process all new employees, including: job applications, emergency information, INS documentation, background checks, work permits, benefits, etc.
D. In partnership with the Executive Director and Finance Director, ensures that the organization is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations with regard to employees.
E. Plans, organizes and coordinates overall staff development.
F. Schedules and conducts regular program staff and management meetings.
