140 Calaveras Unified Students Able to Participate in "Christmas To Remember"
San Andreas, CA....On December 12, 2013, 140 students from Calaveras Unified Schools had the opportunity to participate in the Calaveras Christmas to Remember shopping day. Students, with the help of many volunteers, shopped for warm winter clothing and shoes. Calaveras Unified staff and families want to thank the generous citizens and businesses in Calaveras County who donated and/or participated in this effort. This day would not have been possible without the kindness and generosity of Mary McIntire, Jeannie Holster, and the amazing staff at KMart in Martell. They welcomed the children with open arms and showed them such kindness and generosity...
Thank you to all who helped make this Christmas much brighter for many Calaveras children and families.
Some comments from the children :
MD: Thank you for the shopping trip. I love my new clothes.
KR: My new jacket keeps me warm.
TC: Thank you for my awesome clothes.
TR: This is my BEST Christmas ever!
