AARON LEWIS

7:00 p.m. Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort is excited to announce Aaron Lewis will be coming to our Grand Oak Ballroom stage. Known for his years as the front man for the band Staind, Aaron Lewis released his country debut EP, Town Line, in 2011. His gold selling single "Country Boy," featuring the legendary George Jones and Charlie Daniels, helped bring his EP to #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and #7on the Billboard Top 200.

Lewis' newest album, The Road, came to be while balancing both his up and coming solo run, with the help of his award winning producer James Stroud, and a tour supporting Staind's self-titled seventh album. "I didn't stop to think about it very much," said Lewis, "James let me run with it. I recorded this whole record by bouncing in and out of Nashville on days off. I'd come into town, work for the day, bail out, and play some more shows. Four days later, I'd do the same thing. That's how the album was made, and it's why I called it The Road."

Tickets are on sale now starting at $20 for Dreamcatcher's Club® members, available only at the Casino Cashier's Cage, and starting at $40 for non-Dreamcatcher's Club® members, available at the Casino Cashier's Cage.

Will-Call opens at 5 p.m., the doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Beer, Food and Wine will be available.

Don't miss out on this country boy's performance and enjoy Aaron Lewis Rancheria Style®.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 21

THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS
celebrates the Christmas Story in song A 34-member choir and 17-piece orchestra will offer a special musical Christmas story presentation, "The Heart of Christmas", to be performed in three separate locations the weekend of December 21 and 22. The first performance will be at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Parish, 11361 Prospect Drive, Martell on Saturday, December 21 at 1pm. On Sunday, December 22, the second performance will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 22601 Hwy 88, Pioneer at 10:30am. The third and last presentation will be Sunday December 22 at 3pm at the Ione United Methodist Church, 150 W. Marlette St, Ione.

This one-hour musical program will feature music that will engage and please all ages, including eight original songs by composer/ arranger Pepper Choplin, with orchestra scoring by Michael Lawrence. Performing the cantata this year will be a 51-member community choir and orchestra, led by Amador County Concert Band director Stephen Chambers of Pioneer.

"This is the sixth year we have done one of these special presentations" said Chambers, "and each year the choir and orchestra has grown in numbers. This particular work is a fun and very beautiful cantata with extremely unique writing...you'll hear new melodies intertwined with some favorite Christmas music....very enjoyable for the listener....and the audience can sing along in a few places if they like...and the composer's musical styling range from a true hoe-down to gospel blues to a beautiful rock ballad to classical...and more". "We are blessed to have so much talent in the area...singers, musicians, and helpers that volunteer their time each year to put together such a wonderful and moving experience...and very grateful also for the churches that have volunteered to host the performances again this year...we can't wait to perform this special music!"

The performances are free; bring the whole family for this delightful event and enjoy yet another memorable engaging musical experience. Seating is limited, so arrive a few minutes early for good seating. Performances will begin strictly on time! Contact Faith Lutheran Church at 295-4545 for any further information or if you are interested in participating in the choir!
