Wells Fargo Foundation Donates $2,500 for Youth Mentoring

Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras Mentoring Foundation recently received a $2,500 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation. This is the second Wells Fargo grant for youth mentoring in Calaveras County. “We are honored and thrilled to earn the continued support of our local Wells Fargo,” said Calaveras Mentoring Foundation President Peggy Lucas. “Community partnerships like this are what keep the Mentoring Program strong.”

“We believe in the power of relationships – a value we share with our local youth mentoring program,” said Wells Fargo San Andreas Store Manager Sandy Kosaka. “We are proud to support adults who invest in our young people.”

The Calaveras Mentoring Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that raises awareness and support for youth mentoring. The Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program is the only program of its kind in the county; its mission is to connect local youth with safe, positive mentors who offer friendship, opportunity, and support for making healthy life decisions. The Mentoring Program will celebrate the tenth anniversary of its first mentor-mentee match this December.

The Mentoring Program has a waiting list of local youth who are seeking mentors. For more information, call the program at 209-736-6078 or visit online at www.calaverasmentoring.org.
