Calaveras Visitors Bureau to Announce Innovations in Tourism Award Winners at Annual Dinner
ANGELS CAMP, CA—The Calaveras Visitors Bureau (CVB) has revamped and expanded its Innovations in Tourism Awards and will announce this year’s winners at its annual dinner and program on Tuesday, October 29 at CAMPS at Greenhorn Creek Resort at 5:30 p.m. Each year the CVB recognizes an individual or business that has gone above and beyond to bring something new or special to tourism in Calaveras through its Innovation in Tourism Award. Last year’s winner was Chris Parker of Courtwood Wine Tasting Tours. This year, the CVB has grown that program and will recognize a number of business leaders throughout the county in various sectors of the tourism industry, including attractions, events, lodging, recreation, dining and shopping....
The CVB asked its members to vote in the various categories and will announce the Innovations in Tourism Award-winners at its annual dinner. At the event, which CVB members and the general public are invited to attend, the CVB will also introduce several new projects the organization has been working on and roll-out a new locals’ business incentive program called, “Frog Play,” that attendees will have an opportunity to get involved with on the spot.
