Three Women Arrested for Identiy Theft, Commercial Burglary and More in Multi-County Crime Spree

Angels Camp, CA...On 10/15/13, at approximately 3:25 PM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of S. Main Street on a report of two females that were in a store and attempted to purchase $5,000.00 worth of jewelry. The reporting party advised that the females were also attempting to purchase items from other businesses in the area, and they felt that it was suspicious. When their credit card was declined for the purchase, the females left after stating that they would return after going to the bank. The officer arrived and checked the area, and initially did not locate the subjects...

Shortly after 5:00 PM the females returned to the area, and an officer responded to the same location and detained the two females. Further investigation revealed that the females were in possession of false identification and forged credit cards. A third associated female subject was located in the 400 block of S. Main Street and was also detained.

Witness merchants positively identified the subjects detained as the involved subjects, and all three were arrested. The following items are a partial list of evidence items recovered from the scene and their motel room after a subsequent search was conducted; numerous items of recently purchased clothing and jewelry, stolen mail, stolen and /or altered identification, numerous forged credit cards, credit card blanks to manufacture forged credit cards, methamphetamine and narcotic paraphernalia, a credit card embosser used to forge credit cards, stolen checks, and digital storage devices and computers. Two rental cars were also seized as evidence, one from the 1200 block and one from the 400 block of S. Main Street. Receipts and other indicia recovered from the motel room indicate that the suspects have been traveling from the Fresno area to Reno, NV, and have recently been in Amador and Tuolumne Counties. Law Enforcement authorities from Amador and Tuolumne Counties have been notified of the arrests and follow-up investigation will be done in those jurisdictions. Follow-up investigation will continue to determine if other jurisdictions are involved.

Amanda Nicole Nicoletti, a 27 year old Clovis, CA resident was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail on charges related to conspiracy to commit a crime, commercial burglary, forgery, grand theft, identity theft, and possession of methamphetamine. Additionally, Nicoletti had three outstanding felony warrants for her arrest, from Fresno County.

Bobbi Jo Heiss, a 26 year old Oakhurst, CA resident was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail on charges related to conspiracy to commit a crime, commercial burglary, forgery, grand theft, and identity theft.

Brittney Janet Booth, a 27 year old Fresno, CA resident was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail on charges related to conspiracy to commit a crime, commercial burglary, forgery, grand theft, and identity theft.

The U.S. Secret Service has been notified of this investigation, and they will be assisting with the forensic examination of the digital storage devices that were recovered. They will also review the case for possible filing of federal charges.
