Buy Locally-Created Art Gifts at Gallery Calaveras in San Andreas

San Andreas, CA....Once again the creative talents of Calaveras artists are on display and for sale at Calaveras Arts Council’s Holiday Affordable Gifts of Arts Boutique. Share their creativity and their spirit with your family and friends this year by selecting original gifts of art at the Calaveras Arts Council’s Gallery on Main Street in San Andreas. Over 50 artists will have a variety of items displayed beginning Saturday, November 9 and ending Saturday, January 4, 2014. Gallery Calaveras will have two Holiday Open Houses -- one is Saturday November 9, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and also on Saturday, December 7, noon – 3:00pm, which coincides with the San Andreas Christmas Show in the Town Hall...

Why spend more time in your car and out of county? Shop local. Unlike on-line shopping, you can touch and see the items you’re buying. Fine art, ceramics, music, books, photographs, cards, fabric art and more are made in Calaveras by locals you may know. Artists and craft professionals have painstakingly put their hearts into each creation. What more could you want? Free gift wrapping and free parking? They’ve got that too. Parking is easily accessible behind Gallery Calaveras where there’s a parking lot off of California Street. Arts Council members receive a 10% discount off their purchases. The Calaveras Visitors Bureau VIP discount is also available.

From small paintings to ceramic garden plaques to artsy cards, the variety of affordable art is endless. Among the items are original watercolors, oil and acrylic paintings , photographs, ceramic vases and sculpture, jewelry, candles, fabric purses, painted scarves and fabric bolas, diachronic glass, ornaments, CD’s, books, gallery gift certificates, boxed cards, personal and home products, and so much more. Keep on giving through March and purchase Ovations Performing Arts 2014 Season or single tickets as well.

Some of the visual artists participating in the holiday boutique are: Judy Morgan, Ruth Morrow, Paul Neal, Ann Nancy Macomber, Bambi Papais, Sonya Ziegler, Libby Fife, Margaret Roberts, Judie Cain Papais, Andrea Broglio, Pat Miltimore, Janet Trinkle, Sharon Mejia, Cate Culver, Helen Scofield, Kim Barrington, Shay Baker, Martha Wallace, Claudia Schwalm, Barbara Gillespie, Susie Hoffman, Ty Childress, Pete Kelly, Lori Kelly, Amy Kelly, Lynn M Lynn, Skip Saterlee, Kathy Martinez, Robert Atkinson, Helen Scofield, Donnasue Jacobi, Fred Roessler, and many more.

Ceramic artists represented are: Sarah Switek, Mary Anderson, Lori Kelly, Debra Lawlor, Ken Winebrenner, Cathi Newlin;

Fabric artist are selling their creations are Deana Murchison, Stacey Joyner, Anita Paque, Sheri Boesch, Jerry Gantgen, and Kate O’Keeffe,

Jewelry artists are Edie Schembri, Donna Lynn Keever, Terri Stickles Strunck, Jude Hyman, and Melinda Green and Ingrid Brown.

Specialty items have been created by Randy Metzger, Andy Trinkle, Hannah Suncloud, Creekside Creations, Tom Buss, and Larry Anderson.

Gallery Calaveras, at 22 Main Street in San Andreas, is open 9:00am to 4:00pm weekdays. On Saturdays the hours are 11:00am to 3:00pm. The gallery accepts cash, checks and credit cards for payment.
