Delays on SR-88 for Roadway Excavation
Amador County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on State Route 88 (SR-88) from Jackson Creek Overflow to SR-124 (just past Martin Lane) for roadway excavation....
Crews will begin work on Monday, September 23, 2013, through Friday, September 27, 2013, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 15 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials, and construction related issues.
This work is part of the $28.7 million SR-88 Jackson Valley Rehabilitation Project which began in July of 2012. The project will rehabilitate the roadway by replacing the pavement and widening the shoulders on SR-88 from the Amador County line to seven miles east of Clements, near the intersection of SR-124; widen the Jackson Creek Bridge; and replace the Jackson Creek overflow bridge. This project is anticipated to be completed in 2016.
